WHAT IS PAYPAL. PayPal, an eBay company, is the world's largest online payment service. Opening an account is easy and free. All you will need is an email account(your Paypal account id will be same as your complete email id). You can withdraw cash or use the money in your account to pay for online shopping. PayPal is the faster, safer way to pay online. You can send money without sharing your financial information. All your transactions are available in your PayPal history so you can easily track your online spending.

PAYPAL ID CREATION. First goto http://www.paypal.com/. Click SignUp.Choose your country. Click "GetStarted" button under personal. Enter your original personal info(make sure to enter your details same as in your bank account). Enter your fullname in "FirstName", your initials in "LastName" & just leave blank the "MiddleName". After entering all the info, under the phone no: box, if this message is seen "Link Credit Card", just clear the tick sign in the box left to this message(If You Dont Have Credit Card). Then click the button "Agree & Create account". Again if it asks for credit card info, just ignore this & below there will be a link "GOTO MY ACCOUNT ", click this to goto your account. In the right side of your account there is NOTIFICATIONS box, click the "CONFIRM EMAIL " link & follow the simple procedures. Either they may ask password or "CONFIRMATION CODE[it is a 20 digit no:]". If "Confirmation Code" is asked, it will be present in the 1st mail send by Paypal to your email id(just copy paste/enter the code). While logging into Paypal, if at any time it asks for credit card info, just ignore it & click "GOTO MY ACCOUNT" link below.

1. Every time you login to paypal, make sure to enter your complete email id (eg: abcd1428@ gmail.com).
2. A person can have maximum of 2 Paypal accounts. PayPal allows members to have one Personal account and one Premier/Business account. However, each PayPal account must contain unique email addresses and financial information. You may upgrade your account at any time.
3. MICR is Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. This code has 9 digits, is used to identify the bank-branch.
4. Refer your cheque book or ask any bank officials if you are not sure of various codes.
